Pricing
Free while we launch. Later, parents will pay a small one-off fee. Sitters stay free forever.
We are saying that now rather than later so nobody feels ambushed when it changes. No countdown, no founding-member price that expires on Sunday — when there is a number, it will be on this page before it is on an invoice.

Why charge parents and not sitters
Every marketplace has a fragile side. Here it is the sitters: without them a suburb page is an empty list, and charging them a commission would push the good ones straight back to arranging work privately. So they are free, and the model is built on that rather than around it.
Parents get a one-off fee rather than a subscription because most families need a sitter a handful of times a year. Billing someone monthly for something they use three times is how the incumbents earned their reputation, and we would rather not.
Common questions
- Is it really free right now?
- Yes, for everyone, with no card and no trial period. Nothing on this site is behind a payment today.
- What will parents eventually pay?
- A one-off fee to message sitters, not a subscription. We have not settled the figure, and rather than name one we might change, we will publish it here before anything switches on. Anyone who has already paid a one-off fee keeps access — they paid once, and once means once.
- Will sitters ever be charged?
- No. Sitters stay free permanently: no listing fee, no membership, no commission on what they earn. The side of a marketplace that is hardest to build is the side you do not tax.
- Do you take a cut of what I pay my sitter?
- No, and we could not — we never touch the payment. You pay your sitter directly, by whatever method you both agree. We are an introduction service, not a booking or payments platform.
- How will I know before the price changes?
- This page changes first, and we email everyone with an account. Existing parents get six months free from the day it changes. If you ever pay us, cancelling or getting a refund will be one click and one email away.
