For families

How it works

  1. A parent sitting at a kitchen table with a mug, working out who to ask.

    1. Browse without an account

Every profile is public: rates, availability, and what they're comfortable with. You don't need an account to look, and nothing on this site sits behind a payment.

  2. A parent and a sitter talking at a kitchen bench.

    2. Message the babysitters you like

Ask about a Saturday night, a regular Wednesday, their rate, or meeting first. Replies come back in your messages here.

  3. A sitter reading a picture book to two children on a living room floor.

    3. Arrange everything directly

Rate, hours, and payment are between you and the babysitter. We never handle the money and we never take a cut.

The badge means we checked their ID and their WWCC ourselves, with the register in the state that issued it, not that they ticked a box. What we check, and what we don’t

What we add on top

$0for everyone

Browsing, messaging, and posting an ad cost nothing, and there is no card to enter anywhere. We are a new site, and what we want right now is families meeting babysitters and nannies.

Why the site is free

Browse by suburb

Babysitters travel, so each page lists the ones nearest it, closest first.

Not near any of these? The search box works from any Australian suburb. Babysitters in Sydney and nannies in Sydney list the ones nearest the city.

A parent at her kitchen table in the evening, smiling as she types what she needs into her phone.

Or post what you need

An ad does the waiting for you. Say which times you usually need someone and how many kids.

Babysitters who travel to your suburb see it, and we email the nearby ones the day it goes up. The interested ones message you directly.

Post an ad

Free, and it takes about two minutes.

Questions parents ask

Is it really free right now?
Yes, for everyone, with no card and no trial period. Nothing on this site sits behind a payment. The site is new and cheap to run, and free is how it grows. Why the site is free.
What does the verified badge actually mean?
The badge means we checked their ID and their WWCC ourselves, with the register in the state that issued it, not that they ticked a box.The badge shows the month we checked. Profiles that haven’t done it say “Not yet verified” rather than hiding it. Exactly what we check, and what we don’t.
Can I find a nanny here, or only babysitters?
Both, and mostly they are the same people. People here say whether they want casual evenings, regular ongoing work, or both. The difference is regularity rather than hours: an occasional Friday is babysitting, the same days every week is nanny work, whatever you call it. Search either way and message whoever suits. Where the line falls in NSW. How to hire a nanny covers the regular kind.
Do babysitters need a Working With Children Check?
Usually not for casual babysitting in your own home, though each state sets its own rule: NSW does not require one for that. A nanny or anyone providing regular ongoing care does need one, and you are expected to verify it yourself. Verified babysitters and nannies here have had their WWCC checked by us. For anyone else, ask to sight it. How to check a WWCC.
What do babysitters charge?
Babysitters listed here are asking between $16 and $65 an hour, across 188 profiles that state a rate. Every profile states its own rate, you can filter by it, and there are no booking fees on top. What moves a babysitting rate. How much a nanny costs in Sydney covers the ongoing kind.
How do I get in touch with a babysitter?
Browse without an account, then sign in with an email address and a six-digit code to message anyone. You agree times, rate, and payment directly with the babysitter. We never handle the money. How to find a babysitter in Sydney is the longer version. Questions to ask a babysitter is what to put in the first message.
Can I post an ad instead of browsing?
Yes. A standing ad says which times you usually need someone and how many kids, and the babysitters and nannies who travel to your suburb get emailed about it. The interested ones message you here, and your name and photo are only shown to them.
How do reviews work?
Both directions, and only after real contact. A review can only follow an actual conversation on this site, so a profile cannot be padded with invented praise.
