About these dates
- The holiday dates here are the department's own.
- The department's holiday dates leave out the public holidays and school development days next to them, when students are not at school either. The line under each holiday says when students are home.
- Schools in the Western division start Term 1 a week after the rest of the state.
- A small number of schools close to the Victorian and Queensland borders follow different dates.
- These dates are for NSW government schools. Catholic and independent schools can set their own, so check your school's calendar.
