Hi!

I’ve always really enjoyed working with children, and I’ve had the opportunity to gain experience in different settings.

I have a Master’s degree in Education (MEEF), during which I completed several placements working with children from kindergarten through to Year 6. During my final year, I was in a Year 2 classroom every Monday and one Friday out of three, working with children aged 7 to 9. I was responsible for the school day and the different lessons, which allowed me to develop strong skills in organisation, planning, classroom management and handling everyday conflicts.

Since moving to Melbourne, I have also worked as an au pair for a family with three children aged 7, 5 and 18 months. I was responsible for their morning and evening routines, taking them to school and picking them up, as well as organising their days during the school holidays. I would plan full days with different activities suited to their ages, including games, outings and creative activities. I also helped with preparing some meals.

I particularly enjoy spending time with children and coming up with activities that match their age and interests, while encouraging them to be independent and discover new things. I also really enjoy the everyday side of childcare: playing with them, talking with them, helping with their routines, and creating an environment where they feel comfortable, happy and safe.

Thanks to my background in education and my experience as an au pair, I feel comfortable caring for both younger and older children, and I’m able to adapt to each child’s individual needs and routine.
