Hi families! I’m Laura, a 20-year-old university student currently in my final year of an Engineering degree, and I’m offering casual babysitting in the city area (I live in Darlinghurst so anything around there).

• Very comfortable with cooking and household chores

• Happy to help with homework and schoolwork in all subjects

• Approved carer: experience caring for children with additional needs, including ADHD and epilepsy

• Speak English, French, Spanish and Chinese

• Happy to also care for any pets you may have (I have extensive pet sitting experience)

• First aid trained

• P-plate driver's licence

• Responsible, reliable and experienced

• Love coming up with fun and creative activities to keep kids engaged!

I come from a big family of five children and, as the eldest daughter, I’ve had plenty of hands-on experience caring for younger children from a young age. I’ve been living in Sydney for the past three years and have looked after children aged 1–12.

Before Sydney I had already done plenty of babysitting; one of my most memorable experiences was spending a month in Taiwan as an au pair, where I cared full-time for a 7-year-old boy.

My availability:
I’m generally available weekday evenings from around 6–6:30pm onwards, as well as most weekends. As I also work part-time, I’m mainly looking for casual babysitting opportunities and am often happy to help with last-minute requests when I’m available. That said, if you’re looking for someone for regular babysitting and the days/times fit around my schedule, I’d also be very happy to arrange something ongoing!

My usual rate is $40/hour, although I’m happy to discuss this depending on your individual circumstances, such as the number of children, their ages, and any additional needs.
