Babysitters in Bli Bli

Not enough babysitters near Bli Bli have published a rate yet for us to give a local range, and we would rather say that than make one up. Across Sydney, casual babysitting generally runs between $25 and $40 an hour. Agree the rate before the first booking. We never take a cut, so what you agree is what the babysitter is paid. What moves a babysitting rate.

1 of the 1 babysitters and nannies near Bli Bli say they want regular ongoing work. Most people use the two words for the same person, so the two lists overlap. The difference that matters is the shape of the arrangement, not the job title. In Queensland a nanny needs a blue card and so does a paid babysitter, and you are the one expected to see it. Nannies in Bli Bli lists the ones who said yes.

For one child, almost never. Centre-based day care is charged per child and drops again with the Child Care Subsidy, while a nanny you hire privately is paid in full and charges for the household rather than per child. The picture changes with more children: at two or three children the nanny rate does not move, so it pulls level or ahead before the subsidy, and where it lands after depends on your own subsidy rate and on the hourly cap. How much a nanny costs, and what sits on top of the rate.

Yes. In Queensland the Working With Children Check is called a blue card. The blue card system counts babysitting, nanny work and au pair work as childcare services, so being paid to babysit needs a blue card even when you arrange it directly with the sitter yourself. You are the one expected to see the card. You can check it yourself for free with the Blue Card Services validator, which takes the name as it appears on the card, the card number, the issue number and the expiry date. It takes about two minutes.

The badge means we checked their ID and their blue card with Blue Card Services ourselves, not that they ticked a box.We do not check references, first aid certificates, or years of experience. Those sit on a profile as the babysitter’s own claim, and are labelled that way. The full list of what we check. The questions to ask a babysitter cover the rest.

Browsing is open to everyone: every profile, rate, and availability grid is public with no account. To send a message you sign in with your email address. You arrange the booking, the rate, and payment directly with the babysitter — we are an introduction service and we are not part of that arrangement. Yes, for everyone. Every profile is public with no account, and messaging needs only an email sign-in. Babysitters stay free permanently: we do not charge a listing fee or a membership, and we take no commission on what they earn. Why the site is free.
